Greetings and be welcomed once again to the Out Of Place Project blog.
We're glad about the good feedback we've received about the changes done to the blog. Remember that if you got a suggestion for us, please let us know :)
As for the poll, the results showed that people want the blog to keep both the single photo stories and the stories in chapters, therefore the blog will keep working on both modes.
With that taken care of, lets get into this week's update.
After the whole ordeal the gang went through while being at the forest and their rescue, they decided to take the week off and rest. After 4 or 5 days, they approached me and said that they were getting bored and wanted to do something to continue the project, at the moment I was out of ideas, because the whole forest thing also took a toll on me, so I said that I was out of ideas at the moment.
After a while they came back and told me that they had an idea, Batman said:
Batman: Diego, we got an idea
Me: I'm listening
Felix: We want to go out again to places we havent been before...
Crash: But we also want to meet new characters.
Me: And how do you suggest we do that?
Batman: We will go to places like in a tour, but with no fixed agenda.
Crash: We'll ask the Black Mosquito if he is in for this.
Me: Don't worry about that, he will agree to it, Ill tell him. So how do you want to do this?
Felix: We'll start with a few weeks and then we'll see what happens, what do you think?
Me: Well, its a good idea, but if this is gonna be like a tour, we will need a name for it...
The three of them thought for a while in a name but they didnt agreed on any, Batman then said:
Batman: How about: The Where Are We Tour ?
Felix: I dont know, its missing something...
Crash: How about: The Who Are You Tour ?
Felix: Still missing something...
Me: How about The Where Are We And Who Are You Tour ?
Batman/Crash/Felix: That works!
Me: Good, then its settled, we'll leave tomorrow.
Crash: In my opinion, it would be way cooler if we left tonight!
Felix: You're crazy! Leave in the dark and under such short notice?!
Batman: Actually, its not a bad idea! Who knows what kind of characters we might come across during night, I support Crash's idea.
Felix (murmuring): Yeah right, just because you got a crush on bats and all, now lets all go during the middle of the night...what about MY sleep?!
Batman (to Felix): I thought cats loved night Felix...
Felix: Eh? What? Oh yeah, night, yes, cats love night, I support the idea...sort of...
Me: Ok then guys, pack your stuff and Ill pack mine and we'll leave.
I packed my camera, tripod and the works, Batman checked his belt, Crash apparantly didnt take anything with him and Felix looked for a blanket and food to take with him.

When we were ready, we head out and the Black Mosquito was waiting for us, ready and set to go.
Before the gang jumped aboard, I said:
Me: Hold on guys, I want to take a picture of you before we leave, after all, this is the first time we do this and its our maiden voyage, and we should have a picture of this moment.
The gang agreed and they chose to pose infront of the Black Mosquito, because of the strong intensity of the Black Mosquito's lights, he turned them off except for his low lights, which helped me to take this picture.
And here it is, the picture you see here is just before we depart into new adventures, the gang's first tour ever. This is indeed our maiden voyage, so wish us luck, maybe this wont be the only tour the gang will do... ;)
The Where Are We And Who Are You Tour has officially begun!
Where will we go? Who will we meet? When we'll be back home? We dont know any answer to those questions, so be sure to check where does the Out Of Place gang goes to and who they meet during this journey!

Estamos contentos por la buena respuesta que hemos recibido por los cambios hechos al blog. Recuerda que si tienes alguna sugerencia para nosotros, por favor haznosla saber :)
Respecto a la encuesta, los resultados mostraron que la gente quiere que el blog mantenga las historias en fotos individuales e historias en fotos por capitulos, por lo tanto el blog seguira trabajando con las dos formas.
Con eso fuera del camino, vayamos a la actualizacion de esta semana.
Despues de la dura prueba que la pandilla tuvo mientras estuvieron en el bosque y fueron rescatados, decidieron tomarse la semana libre y descansar. Despues de 4 o 5 dias, se me acercaron y me dijeron que se estaban aburriendo y querian hacer algo para continuar el proyecto, en ese momento no tenia ninguna idea por que el asunto del bosque tambien tuvo su efecto en mi, asi que les dije que no tenia ideas.
Despues de un rato, regresaron y me dijeron que tenian una idea, Batman dijo:
Batman: Diego, tengo una idea
Yo: Escucho
Felix: Queremos salir de nuevo e ir a lugares que no hayamos ido aun...
Crash: Pero tambien queremos conocer nuevos personajes.
Yo: ¿Y como sugieren que hagamos eso?
Batman: Iremos a lugares, como en una gira, pero sin una agenda fija.
Crash: Le preguntaremos al Mosquito Negro si le entra a esto.
Yo: No te preocupes por eso, el estara de acuerdo, yo le dire. ¿Y como quieren hacer esto?
Felix: Empezaremos con unas cuantas semanas y luego vemos que pasa, ¿Que piensas?
Yo: Bueno, es una buena idea, pero si esto sera como una gira, necesitamos un nombre...
Los tres pensaron por un rato en un nombre pero no se ponian de acuerdo en ninguno, Batman dijo:
Batman: ¿Que tal: La Gira ¿En Donde Estamos? ?
Felix: No se, algo le falta...
Crash: ¿Que tal: La Gira ¿Quien Eres Tu? ?
Felix: Aun le falta algo...
Yo: ¿Que tal: La Gira En Donde Estamos Y Quien Eres Tu? ?
Batman/Crash/Felix: ¡Ese funciona!
Yo: Bien, entonces esta decidido, nos vamos mañana
Crash: ¡En mi opinion seria muchisimo mas padre si nos vamos hoy en la noche!
Felix: ¡Estas loco! ¡¿Irnos durante lo oscuro y con tan poco tiempo de anticipacion?!
Batman: De hecho, ¡no es una mala idea! Quien sabe que personajes nos encontremos durante la noche, apoyo la idea de Crash.
Felix (murmurando): Si, claro, solo por que tienes una fijacion con los murcielagos y todo eso, ahora vamonos en medio de la noche...¡¿Que hay de MI sueño?!
Batman (hacia Felix): Pense que los gatos aman la noche, Felix...
Felix: ¿Eh? ¿Que? Ah si, noche, si, los gatos aman la noche, apoyo la idea...algo..
Yo: Ok pues chicos, empaquen sus cosas y yo las mias y nos iremos.
Empaque mi camara, tripie y todo, Batman checo su cinturon, Crash por lo visto no empaco nada y Felix busco una cobija y comida que pudiera llevar con el.
Cuando estuvimos listos para salir, el Mosquito Negro ya nos esperaba listo y preparado para irnos. Antes de que la pandilla se subiera, dije:
Yo: Esperen chicos, quiero tomar una foto de ustedes antes de que nos vayamos,
despues de todo, esta es la primera vez que hacemos esto y es nuestro viaje inaugural, y deberiamos tener una foto de este momento.
La pandilla estuvo de acuerdo y escogieron posar frente al Mosquito Negro, debido a la fuerte intensidad de las luces del Mosquito Negro, las apago excepto sus cuartos, lo cual me ayudo a tomar esta foto.
Y aqui esta, la foto que ves aqui es justo antes de que salieramos hacia nuevos aventuras, la primera gira de la pandilla. Este es nuestro viaje inaugural, asi que deseanos suerte, tal vez este no sea la unica gira que la pandilla haga... ;)

¿A donde iremos? ¿A quien conoceremos? ¿Cuando regresaremos a casa? No sabemos ninguna de esas respuestas, ¡pero asegurate de checar a donde va la pandilla Fuera De Lugar y a quien conocen durante este viaje!

the picture is stunning, i gotta say.
ReplyDeleteone of the things i really like about photography is how lights and colours can have such an effect on the overall impression of what the photo portrays and do a great deal in telling a story...
this one aint an exception!
its like they are in an underground garage and out of a sudden the Black Mosquito turns on its lights and the garage which was in overall darkness till then, gets lit...in other words, everything was still, and that stillness is disturbed by a new upcoming adventure, yet, with nothing certain in it, full of mystery and suspense....so, the diminishing colours of the picture actually bring that effect...it aint a mystery filled with coldness and solitude that freezes your blood like the ones in the forest...this one actually creates an anxious chaos inside you and you feel the pressure of the suspension upcoming and you feel all hot and sweating and like something;s choking you and you just cant sit still...(hmmm, i wonder if this actually made sense, but thats the effect it has on me while looking at it)
anyway...im really fond of the idea of the gang going on a trip....i wouldnt have minded if they stayed where they were, im sure they would have been REALLY capable of getting into some extraordinary activity, esp. Crash...but im really fond of travelling adventures, so i do like the idea about the trip they're going to
Felix seems as if he had seen a ghost or someone is approaching him so he is focused on that, while Crash in the background slowly walks on the tips of his toes towards him, determined to give him a scare from behind, while Felix is all tense and focused on whats in front of him, and is completely unprepared that something might strike him from the back actually :)
Batman as usual, the most-down-to-earth one...

ok, this may seem silly or so, but since thats the impression i got at my first glimpse of the picture, ill put it down
as I had already said, the picture simply radiates mystery and suspension and as if something extraordinary is in the stars...now, at my first look at the picture, despite being overwhelmed with that feeling, hmmm, it felt as if i had seen a reflection or the spirit of Batman, right there on the number-plates, just between the numbers....unless you look closer and more careful, that just simply looked as Batman's head :$ :$ :$ I know that may sound silly or hilarious, but thats how it was....I guess the colours did have their effect, since if they werent as they were, they wouldnt have created the atmosphere they did and everything would have seemed normal....but i actually like it this way..tense, scary and unusal
good luck on the "The Where Are We And Who Are You Tour", hopefully the gang wont misbehave too much....and the new characters are anticipated :)

Your vision of the photograph is really interesting, you give a lot of depth to the pictures with them.
The gang could have indeed found something interesting to do at home, but I think they have grown used to go out and look for adventures, even if they get in such troubles like the forest. This is why they wanted to go out in a tour, and it isnt a bad idea, plenty of pictures to be taken on the road.
Crash didnt scare Felix this time, but who knows when he will... And poor Felix, Batman messed with his sleep...
It was funny to read how you saw the drawing in the plate, at first glance it does look like Batman's shadow or something similar...And just so you dont keep the doubt, the drawing is a church drawn into the plates of a church in a city inside the state I live at.

Pues como viste, a Felix no le gusto mucho la idea de salir de noche, pero aun asi, salio, la pandilla no seria la misma sin Felix, ¿no crees?
